 My 2nd warmshower host Scot is a very busy man with many chores to take care of,girlfriend to see,daughter to take care,tennis to play,business to work,so he left the house key and most of the times i am home alone. Luckily there is a small garden for me to walk around and work on the bike. I went out for lunch walking about 1km to have a combo set of Church's Texas Chicken ( 3pcs of fried chickens+french fries+ free flow of drink) for $12.75. There are a few Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant too,I might try one of them tomorrow.

Day 05 -- 28/6 Riding Around Downtown Vancouver and Meet my 2nd Warmshower Host

Today ride started late at noon with Polina n David sending me off . Polina help me to buy the Petrol opposite her apartment by using my credit card $1.00 min charge. Using the bike lane i reached the downtown to buy simcard at the Telus mobile store recommended by David. The store was run by Bangladashi and very helpful to setup my phone.The package is $50.40 with 55gb for 1 month inclusive of tax. I have my lunch in a Chinese restaurant from Chongqing, the deep fried beef was so hard to eat and later they changed to spicy tou hu for free after i made a complain. The cost is $17.95 after tipping. After a not so happy lunch,i continue my ride around the harbour and did a loop of Stanley Park with the famous Lion Gate Bridge . I noticed many people cycling along the bike path with all sort of bikes,families,couples,kids. Before reaching the bridge,there are some hills to tackle,it is tiring with a full load recumbent bike,but it will be ok as days go by. My 2nd warmshower host Scot have massage me saying he is waiting for my arrival by 5.30pm,  He is already waiting at the gate as i rode by waving at me . So much for my 1st day of riding ,safe and sound.

Day04 27/6 — Thank You So Much Polina n David Hosting Me 2 Nights

 Polina and David from warmshower hosted me two nights in their cozy apartment in Vancouver.David is a good chef who prepared a yummy oven baked pork rib and pasta with a glass of wine.I feel so happy to meet such wonderful people around away from my home in Malaysia.It is a wonderful world.We have a good chat about whats happening in the world right now,we talked on the Russian Ukraine war,the Canada political situation. Polina has a classical guitar which i sang 2 songs " country road " and " Knocking on Heaven's Door.They helped me with information on getting on the bike lane and simcard purchase.Thanks again Polina and David,I wish both of you good luck and good health.

Day03 27/6 — Assembling My Bike At The Airport and Ride to Warmshower Home

Thank you so much Polina n hubby David 

 I am really tired when arrived in Vancouver due to previous flight cancelled,hotel arrangement ,lack of sleep,rush here and there,worried about my luggage,first time experiencing such incidence in my life of flying. I took a very long time to get the bike ready,and when you are not in your normal self with the jet-lag, your concentration and judgement will be affected, in of the silly mistake i made is ,I did not bump the rear tire properly and this resulted a punctured a few hundreds meters from my warmshower host Polina apartment. Luckily a young guy was there to help,even using his mobil phone to call Polina of my situation ,I decided to push my bike with Polina and David there to lead me to their apartment. Took a shower and a delicious dinner was served with oven baked pork rid,sweet potatos,  Thank you so much and a very Happy ending for my first day in Vancouver.

Day02 -26/6 A Big Drama Happen At the Klia

 Yesterday when I arrived at the Klia Int'l Airport and check in my baggage,everythings went smoothly,they didn't even weight my 2 bags ,and boarding ticket issued . Happily i went around to have my dinner at Taco Bell restaurant. Then i received a massage from Malaysian Airline saying the flight to Narita have been cancelled. I was shock at such short notice as my baggage had just been checked in and waiting for boarding. I came too know my flight was not the only one affected but others MH flights as well,probably related to the incident happened in Bangkok where one of MH flight did an emergency landing. At the end we were put into a night stay in Nilai Springs Resort and transfer to another flight by ANA to Narita ,departs 0730h and arrives in Narita 1530h to board JAL to Vancouver 1830h. I am grad finally landed in Vancouver morning on 26/6 1133h. Tired very very tired！！！

All my bags are packed and i am ready to go! Yes, the final waiting is over and i will be on the flight from KL International Airport tonight 2330hr to Narita Japan and transit 11 hours before flying to Vancouver Canada and arriving on 26th morning at 1135hr.Hopefully everything will be smooth, I will then assemble my bike and start cycling to my very 1st Warmshower(WS) host Polina.Wish me best of luck.Before i forget, i wish to thank Mr Woo for using his Toyota Triton 4x4 to fetch me to Klia from my home in Subang Jaya.A very Big THANK YOU! to him
